Life as a Freelance Translator: Managing Translations and 3,500 Tools

Translating is not the hardest part of being a freelance translator.


Delivering your work on time is not the hardest part either.


The hardest part?
Keeping up with the 3,500 𝑑𝑖𝑓𝑓𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑡 translation management systems, invoicing platforms, and client portals we are expected to master.

It seems that every week, new tools and management systems arise, making freelancers' lives more complicated than ever.
I'll admit it: sometimes I struggle to stay up to date with all this software.

In my 𝑚𝑎𝑔𝑖𝑐 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑎𝑙 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑙𝑑, I would 'simply' translate, send my files via e-mail or CAT tools, and issue my invoices. 😄
