Yes, I am an introvert.

Introverts are often seen as grumpy, weird, and rude. Is that true?
Well, I would not call myself the hit of the party, but I am not a grumpy person.

I admit I don't have any problem spending time alone, and in fact, sometimes I need it. Being around so many people for too long drains all my energy, and I need a moment to recover.

However, I believe that my character fits my work perfectly. I love to spend my time reading and reflecting on the world around me. I definitely have "my head in the clouds".

Even translators need to connect with the world and interact with other people from time to time, but I certainly don't suffer if I have to spend some time alone.
It is essential to find a job that fits your character well, otherwise, it can be so tiring.

Any other introvert translators?

I am a fellow translator, and I also am an introvert.

I do need time alone, and also need time to recover after spending time with many people.

But that is only true on some days, on others I thrive in good company and messy environments.

And for people who notice, this duality probably makes me look even more weird, grumpy or rude.
